Never-ending mesmer

The waters never stopped To fascinate me. Probably, I find the sea, Rivers, streams and the waterfalls As an extension of my love, rain. I felt intrinsically connected To this elixir of life! It's not that I swam Or found ecstacy in being immersed in it, But inexplicable joy flows As each time I watch The waves, the ripples, the spurt… But I do not know if I can watch This mesmer all day all through Each and every day, from dawn to dusk. This makes me amazed, When I see that old grandpa Clad in white mundu standing everyday On that bridge watching the river. The noise of the passing vehicles Never bothered him. I see him during the day, noon and dusk, In the sun, the rain and the cloudy days… He whispers to himself, he carries an umbrella, Though have never seen him using it. People might think of him as crazy. I do wonder what he finds there; Everyday he might be finding it anew… I look for him, as I cross the bridge every time, With a silent prayer that h...
