River tales

I wake up looking at the flowing river, And go to sleep watching it. The seagulls soar high and land As if water is their home… I watch the random people Walking towards her- The young and the old… The old lady with her twin dogs- One always watching her And the other in own world… The young lovers, hand in hand Seeming to be inseparable for life, Kids playing and running around, The cyclists, taking rounds to watch her more, Before they cycle their ways away, And I saw her… Her hands in her pockets, The man next was giving clarifications, Which wasn't acceptable to her. They weren't arguing, but were conversing- Denial spurred; he walked away silently, As she watched the river flowing away from the sea… She stretched her arms out- Probably asking for a hug… She had a strong demeanour- Calm and composed, but I saw- Tears streaming down- Though her eyes were masked in goggles.
