Just love
It was noon transforming into evening,
We were sitting at the zenith of the hill,
The rocks around were smoothened over years...
How many like us would have sat here
And savored the beauty of this place?
There was cold breeze brushing us,
We had our arms crossed in each other's
Our elbows touching the other's ribs...
It was mist ahead of us, the valley was barely seen.
My head resting on his shoulders,
We watched the misty clouds moving...
Mesmerised by the beauty around.
And the mist moved, the valley was unraveled;
The yellow carpet of wild flowers beneath seemed spectacular...
We didn't move, but could feel the warmth of smile-
Blooming on the other's face.
I made a mental image of the moment,
That it can be recollected and cherished...
And the day was fading into dusk,
The sky was in red and blue,
As if on the canvas of a veteran artist!
The domes of the pretty old city
Seemed like an image from a fairy tale...
And it went dark,
We, still watching the changing emotions of the day...
Our breath in rhythm with each other,
Though didn't speak verbally,
We were having constant telepathic conversations...
Silence had never felt as beautiful as this,
That too in the company of the most precious soul.
The lights at the farther end of the valley came to life-
I realized, the moments went by were
Just proclaiming the coming of these magnificent moments...
Night is really more beautiful than the dawn or dusk!
Now we looked at each other,
Though, in darkness nothing could be seen,
In hearts we knew, what eyes were expressing...
The non verbal manifestations of overwhelming love...
It's just love❤️😇😊
