Singer-wanderer

He wandered through

The crowded streets,

Lonely in those alleys,

Smoke fuming from lips…

He had silent eyes-

Always lost in thoughts.

He never asked alms,

But was bestowed by friends…

When lights went off,

And the city slept,

He sang for friends,

Melody rippling in air…

Never lived with norms

Nor relished the fame,

But just in the melody

That rose from the soul!

He wandered through

The streets in silence,

And lived in hearts,

As he walked away…

The singer-wanderer,

With a soul of songs...
